Shu Qun was born in 1958 in Jilin Province, China. Shu Qun was one of the organizers of the “Northern Art Group”, one of the earliest movements in the ’85 art movement of the last century, and the earliest advocate and practitioner of the mainstream artistic trend of “rational painting”. He can be regarded as a true representative painter of the Chinese metaphysical school of painting.
His works have been exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Contemporary Art, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Queensland Art Museum, and the Minsheng Art Museum in Australia.
