Mao Xuhui was born in Chongqing, China in 1956. Mao Xuhui is a highly representative contemporary Chinese artist and a leading figure in the Southwest art community.
Mao Xuhui’s work has been exhibited in major cities in Europe and Asia, such as Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, San Francisco, Barcelona, Bonn, Paris and London. His work has also been exhibited in influential exhibitions such as “Open Ontology: New Art from China” at the Asia Society Museum of Art, New York, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Hong Kong Museum of Art. New Chinese Art” at the Asia Society Museum, New York, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Hong Kong Museum of Art.
