This volume stands as a significant new addition to START Museum’s Genealogy Study of Artists publication series—the nineteenth installment in the project. The START Museum Research Group has authored scholarly essays focusing on Polish artist Karolina Jabłońska’s keen observations of daily situations, gender politics, and natural meteorology. The book also features commissioned critical texts on the artist’s recent practice, alongside an in-depth dialogue between researchers and Jabłońska concerning autobiographical practice, emotional internalization, and the metaphor of “Which Way the Wind is Blowing” in her painting. Encompassing key archival images from the current exhibition, as well as selected historical works, installation views from past exhibitions, and personal documentary photographs, this publication strives to fully present the rich trajectories and multidimensional perspectives of Jabłońska’s recent creations bridging individual experience with social reality.
